TESSIE ORTEGA, 93, passed away on October 7, 2017 at home. Tessie was born January 11, 1924 in Shalenburg, New Mexico to Faustin and Elvira Baca. She was preceded in death by her husband, Epimenio Ortega; sons, Samuel, Robert and Jose; daughter, Dolores Salas. She is survived by her sister, Frances Baca; daughters, Maria Ortega, Anna (Mike) Ortiz, Margaret Lucero and Elena (Robert) Rubin; sons, Juan (Desiree) Ortega and Richard Ortega. A rosary will be recited on October 17, 2017 at 12:30 p.m. at the San Isidro Catholic Church on lower Agua Fria Street in Santa Fe. The family of Tessie Ortega has entrusted their loved one to DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.
