Samuel A. Serna, 69, a resident of La Puebla, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, April 9, 2017.  He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Annie Serna; son, Sammy Serna; mother, Rita Serna; father, Felix Serna; brother, Felix Jr Serna; sisters, Eva Valerio, Dolores Villareal; nephews, Gary Valerio, Ray Sandoval, Jerome Sandoval; mother-in-law, Patricia Martinez; father-in-law, Victoriano Martinez.  He is survived by his daughter, Rita and husband Michael Archuleta and their children, Annalee and Amarissa; son Andres Serna and Fiancé, Nancy and their sons Elijah, Isaiah and Devon; grandson, Adrian Montoya; Sister, Debra and husband Pat Borrego and their daughter, Elisa and husband Kenny Esquibel, and numerous other aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, God-Children, and other relatives and friends. Samuel was a loving husband, wonderful father, brother and good friend to many.  He was a very spiritual man who devoted his life in caring for his beautiful wife, kids and grandchildren. He always was there to help others, sharing his wisdom and helping his children.  He enjoyed riding his motorcycle with his close family and friends.  He had such a positive outlook in life, always trusting in God.  Everybody loved Sammy, and Sammy loved you all very much! A wake service will be held on Friday, April 21, 2017 at 6:00 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory. Private burial will be held. The family will like to give gratitude to Ambercare staff, and all the family and friends for all your thoughts and prayers. The family of Samuel A.
