Roberta Toledo, 61, a resident of Rio Lucio (Penasco) passed away on Thursday, August 3, 2017. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Frances Padilla; and her niece, Michelle Decoteau (Padilla). Roberta was born in Albuquerque and moved with her family to Los Alamos when she was 12 years old. She graduated from Los Alamos High School in 1973 and went on to serve two years in the United States Marines working at the Pentagon in Washington, D.C. Roberta’s creativity, finesse, and technical expertise provided her with a broad spectrum of job opportunities which included hair stylist, administration at the Zia Company in Los Alamos, and computer and technical support at the Air Force Research Laboratory in Albuquerque. Roberta loved fishing with the love of her life, Seyfred and spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by her husband, Seyfred Toledo; two children, Antoinette Garcia and Rhonda Quintana; two step-children, Candice Toledo and Charmaine Toledo; grandchildren, Christopher, Jason, Jenae, Joseph, Xiola, Julian, and Kairi; brothers, Edward Padilla (Angie) and Michael Padilla (Lori); nieces Yvette Byers (Dan) and Cheryl Padilla; and brothers-in-law, Steve Toledo (Jeanne) and Tom Toledo; and sister-in-law, Karen Toledo. Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, August 10, 2017 at 9:00 a.m. at Immaculate Heart of Mary in Los Alamos with burial to follow at 11:15 a.m. at the Santa Fe National Cemetery. The family of Roberta Toledo has entrusted the care of their loved one to the DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.
