Paul Ortega

PAUL ORTEGA, 47, a resident of Coyote, passed away on Friday, May 12, 2017. Paul was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Leopoldo and Rosario Ortega, maternal grandparents, Donaciano and Santana Salazar; uncle, Severeo Ortega. Paul was known to many as a compassionate, loving, hardworking person, the love of his life was his daughter, Bailee. He adored his wife and thanked her for giving him such a blessing. Paul enjoyed spending time with his family it was always important to him especially his parents, his brothers, sister and his many friends. He was a Veteran and served in the Army National Guard. Paul will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. He is survived by his wife, Katherine Ortega; daughter, Bailee Ortega; parents, Henry and Lillian Ortega; sister, Carmella Ortega, brothers, Donathan Ortega and wife Elizabeth, Vernon Ortega; nieces, Robyn, Rochelle, and Mickayla Ortega and many relatives and friends. Public visitation will begin on Friday, May 19, 2017 at 6:00 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory, with a wake service to follow at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday, May 20, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at San Juan Bautista Catholic Church in Coyote, with a burial to follow at the Coyote Cemetery. Serving the family as pallbearers will be Carmella Ortega, Donathan Ortega, Vernon Ortega, Arnold Jacquez, Jerome Jacquez, and Marvin Lujan, honorary pallbearers are Johnny Leyba, Jacob Martinez and Alfred Martinez.
