Maria DeVargas

Maria Isabel “Betty” DeVargas, 68, a resident of Cañon Plaza, formerly of Gallina, passed away on Thursday, April 20, 2017.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Vivian Suazo and Abenielde Morfin; daughter, Lori Maes; parents-in-law, Manuel and Olivama DeVargas and various aunts and uncles. She loved to read books, cook and be with her family. Once in a while she liked having fun at the casino. She is survived by her husband, Delbert DeVargas; daughter, Marina DeVargas; son, Manny DeVargas; grandchildren, Diego DeVargas and Sara Dowis; sister, Lucy Millan (Ramiro); sisters-in-law, Louann DeVargas, Marcella Galano (Rich), Patsy DeVargas, Darlene Miller (Glen), Dolores Shoonover (Roy), Lydia Maestas, Myra Trujillo (Cary); brother-in-law, Mateo DeVargas (Victoria) six great-grandchildren; and various nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
