GORDON SCHLEGEL, 89, a resident of Tierra Amarilla, passed away on Wednesday, January 13, 2016 following a short illness. Gordon was a jack of all trades. He loved gardening and his horses. He was a very kind hearted person to everyone. Gordon was a sheriff, a paramedic and boy-scout leader for many years. He will be missed dearly. A service will be held on Tuesday, January 19, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Chama. Burial will be held at a later date. The family of Gordon Schlegel has entrusted their loved one to DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.
