Ella Baros

Ella Katherine Baros, born April 6, 1959 and passed on to Heaven surrounded by her loving family on Monday, September 18, 2017. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jose and Carolina Valdez; infant brother, Gilbert Anthony; niece, Maxine Valdez; grandparents, Ben and Faustina Moya, Librado and Sinforosa Valdez and Agueda Salazar. Ella was a very active member of the San Jose parish, having served in the Altar Society for over 40 years, Mayordorma, Eucharistic Minister, Lady Knight, Holy Family Society and ACTS sister. Ella was always available to serve in many other Church functions. Ella was a loving wife, mother, daughter, grandmother, sister and friend, always putting others before herself. She was loved by many, she was a devoted friend, and Catholic who was honest and sincere. Ella had a heart of Gold who will be missed by all who knew and loved her.   Ella is survived by her husband Ricky C. Baros; sons, Jose (Samantha), Ben Baros; grandson, Aaden Josiah; siblings, Joddie Valdez (Rosemary), Rosemary Roybal (Walter), Ricky Valdez (Jeannie), Gilbert Valdez, Carla Vejil (Rodney); mother-in-law, Ruth Lucero; sisters-in-law, Yolanda Martinez and Josephine Valdez (Ralph); Goddaughter, LeAnn Valdez; cousins, Ella considered sisters, Linda, Loyola, Louanna, Kay, Barbara and Mercy and numerous nephews, nieces and relatives. Public visitation will begin on Thursday, September 21, 2017 at 5:00 p.m. at the San Jose Catholic Church in Hernandez, with a wake service to begin at 6:00 p.m., followed by a rosary at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian buria will be celebrated on Friday, September 22, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. also at the San Jose Catholic Church, with a burial to follow at the San Jose Catholic Cemetery. Serving the family as pallbearers will be Joddie Valdez, Gilbert Valdez, Johnny Valdez, Miguel Vigil, Chris Maestas, Newy Aguilar, Val Dominguez, and Presten Vejil, honorary pallbearers are Aaden Josiah, LeAnn Valdez, Margaret Gallegos, Patrick Maestas, Jerome “JJ” Espinoza, Marty Herrera and Ivan Mendez.
