Annabelle Posey

ANNABELLE POSEY, 87, a resident of Coyote, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 17, 2017. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ted Posey; parents, Adolfo and Carolina Morfin; sister, Gertrude Gallegos, Lillian Jimenez, Mary Aragon, and brothers, Nelson Morfin Sr. She was a kind, loving sister and auntie. She was very religious. She enjoyed taking pictures and as a young lady, she enjoyed scuba diving, riding horses and just being outdoors. Annabelle was born and raised in Coyote and migrated to California for 70 years and came back home to New Mexico to rest in peace. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her brothers, Sergio and wife Julia Morfin, Joe and wife Adelina Morfin, Jake and wife Bennie Morfin; sister-in-law, Viola Morfin and numerous nephews and nieces that loved her. Public visitation will begin on Monday, August 21, 2017 at 6:30 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory, with a rosary to follow at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at the San Juan Bautista Catholic Church in Coyote, with a burial to follow at the Morfin Ranch. Serving as pallbearers will be Randy Morfin, Gary Morfin, Nelson Morfin Jr., Phillip Morfin, Andy Martinez and Patrick Chavez. Honorary pallbearer will be Andrew Maestas. The family of Annabelle Posey has entrusted the care of their loved one to the DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Espanola Valley.
